Possible offer

Hi,

Just wanted to let everyone know that when I came home today there was a message from the realtor in Oakland who showed the house Friday. He needed my realtor's information because he has an offer. Please pray that it is an offer that I can accept.

Today in church Rich talked about Jesus telling Peter to step out of the boat and walk on the water. I have seen that in my mind for the last 5 weeks. I have always felt like God would provide when it is suppose to happen - I just don't know when. I have had a rough couple of weeks and there are times that my faith starts to disappear. Today I really felt like God was once again telling me to keep my faith. I have come to the conclusion that I had it in my mind how things were suppose to go. (Pack my stuff, take it with me to Wichita.) Today 2 people have told me that I might need to do it differently. I had a one track way of thinking and I think things are going to happen differently than I thought. We will see how things go this week.

My babies will be here tomorrow night. Woo hoo.

I'm exhausted

Oh my gosh. I am so exhausted. Today Shirley and Kim came and helped me start packing. I had all the tables out in the addition full of stuff from trying to sell. We packed it all up and filled the back of Shirleys pickup. She took a load of stuff to West Point to be auctioned off. We had her loaded before 10:30. Then we tore into the house. We have packed a lot of stuff up. There is still a lot of stuff here and there that I have to go through to determine if it goes to the auction or if I'm taking it to Kansas or if it goes in the trash. We had some more things to take to the auction when she left at 5:30 but she also had a lot of stuff that she was going to throw into her pit. My feet hurt so bad. Those girls had me running the whole day. There were not any breaks except for when I went to town and got us lunch at "The Library" Those girls were so awesome. I don't know what I would have done without them. So here are the pictures. I still have a lot of work to do before some people come look at the house on Monday @1:00. Last night when I was talking to Amy there was a pickup that drove by real slow. It stopped out by the for sale sign and then backed into the drive way, went back north and then came back again going real slow. Well today when we were loading the truck for the 1st load it looked like the same pickup. They pulled in. It was 3 guys. The one is looking for a place to live. They asked if they could look at it. I let them look and told them to call the realtor with an offer. We will see what happens.
Here is the living room. Anyone want to buy a tv and cabinet? It is $400 for both. Notice the break front is cleaned out too. All my Avon awards and everything are all packed up.

Here is the cupboards above the washer and dryer in the bathroom. Yup almost everything is gone. Just some laundry stuff and some shower gel.

Most of the towels are packed up or I should say were used to pack stuff.

Here we have the pantry. I have to go through the stuff on the bottom shelf. I hope no one needs any measuring cups because there are not any out.

I know this still looks very messy but hey there is progress here too. I should have taken "before" pictures.

Load em up and move em out. This is stuff that is ready to go to Kansas. There are a couple of open boxes that still have some room in them.
Kim is going to come back on Monday morning and help me get some more stuff done before those people come look at the place. Well I guess I better sort more stuff so I better get busy.

I'm done

This is a picture of Jeana, my supervisor, and me. This was taken after I received a standing ovation at a Head Start meeting. Yes, you can see I look like crap. I cried when I got the standing ovation.
This is a picture of me with Rita, the Head Start director. I had to talk about my experience with Head Start. I winged it and I wasn't even nervous!

Yes, I am done. No more going back to work at Head Start. It was not too bad of a day. When I got to work the Head Start director was there. She gave me her cell phone number and wants me to keep in touch. We talked about a possible replacement for me. If they don't get any applications in before Monday at 3 they are going to have to re-advertise. (I know, I am so hard to replace.) (Not really, they are just trying to find someone bilingual.) Lynne and Christina came in late. We went to lunch and I got presents!!! Lynne gave me an angel night light that has a little tag that says "God Bless This House" and from Christina I am getting a canvas bag that has a picture of our Head Start center staff on it. It was a picture of us when we had crazy day. We were all dressed goofy. The bag was special ordered and it hasn't come in yet. I can't wait to get it. After lunch I had to say goodbye to Christina. I had a few tears. Lynne and I had some orientations to do and then when she got ready to leave we hugged and we really cried. We have been together since 1995. We have had our ups and our downs - kind of like a marriage. I told her next summer when she is laid off that she can come visit me in Kansas. My desk looked so empty when I left. It was weird locking the door for the last time. Oh well. On to the next chapter in my life. What is in store for me now? Only God knows the answer to that question.

Sold!!!

Well just wanted to let you know that Dixie's St. Joesph's statue worked! She has signed the papers selling her house. I am so glad that she was able to get it sold so quickly. Now if mine would just sell.

Do you think we will have storms now? Three posts in one day. Hey that beats Amy's record.

Dixie's new house

Here is a picture of Dixie's new house. I took this picture as I was leaving Randolph Sunday night. She went from a ranch to a bungalow.

The pressure is on

The pressure is on. I'm not sure that I can handle this since I was the only blogger at the family reunion. I am trying very hard to do this. I just don't know how everyone does it all the time. My pictures have come up in reverse order of how things happened. Sorry. I guess I will have to talk to the expert bloggers on how they do it. These are the windmills that we saw on our way to the family reunion and on the way home.
I love this one with the cows and the corn field. Sure does look like the great midwest.
Here of course we have the cousins. No, the dog is not Sammie. The dog belongs to Betty Stewart. It just came and jumped up in Dixie's lap when the picture was taken.
Dude and Clarence were talking and I took a picture and so then Dude "posed" for another. Leon and Dean are having an intense conversation.
This is the bridge at Story City park. It was really pretty. Would love to see it at night as the bridge has clear lights on it.
The Burley girls
The Burley girls and Larry.
Dixie didn't really care for the bridge. It would sway a little bit.

We were parked at our hotel. Notice that there is an outlet mall within walking distance. I think I have to park farther away when I go to Wal-Mart.

Ok I hope everyone is happy. Now I have to go get ready to go get my eyes tested.
