GARAGE $ALE $UCCE$$

Well my garage sale was a success. I took 3 car loads of stuff over to West Point and when I returned home it fit in the car with one trip. Yes, the car was really stuffed. I even had the front passenger seat folded up. My purse also had an extra 300 plus dollars in it. I think that is very successful and we didn't even advertise it. We might be having a garage sale the weekend after Memorial day out at the farm. I don't know how many people we will have but hopefully we can find lots of things to get rid of before the sale. The kids will be home in less than a week to help with that task.

Bird Nests - Not just for the birds!

I have been trying so hard to get the stupid yard mowed. I have the area in front of the barn mowed and most of the yard to the east of the house and south is mowed. The south ditch is done somewhat and not much done on the north ditch. That one is hard for me when I have 2 good hands. Well anyway I am out by the old red pickup and there is a bird nest that has fallen out of the evergreen tree. Luckily I kicked it aside instead of moving it with my hand. There was a snake under it. I didn't freak out too bad. I managed to keep the mower running. Usually when I see a snake with the push mower I run and the mower dies. I have used 6 tanks of gas with all I have done. Sunday I mowed 2 tanks worth and last night (Tuesday) I mowed 2 tanks and tonight I did another 2. I have not even begun on the yard north of the house or west. It looks like it is getting pretty tall and I know there are a lot of branches, limbs and big sticks in there. I am too tired to pick up sticks tonight.

I also need to get to working on the inside of the house. I have a garage sale coming up in a week! I hope I sell a lot because with the kids coming home the next weekend I have to make it look like I have done something or they are going to be getting a dumpster. That would be bad. I have to go to work some of the days they are here so I'm afraid of what they might be throwing away. I told Amy I have the job of dumpster monitor. I told Robert maybe we could just put the stuff out in the yard for a yard sale. He said I would probably be trying to buy my own stuff back.

Well I have to get busy and get more stuff done. So until the next time C Ya.

I'm pooped

Well I went out to use my little red wagon. Oh my gosh, I am so sore from bending over. I didn't get a chance to walk today at the hospital but the bending and walking I did with just one wagon full should make up for it. I wanted to do another wagon full but I do need to be able to get out of bed in the morning. I also feel dirty and gritty. I hate that feeling. I suppose it's about that time of year when I have to shower 2 times a day.

I thought about getting a mower out but I don't think I can get the lock off the garage one handed. I can barely get it with 2 hands. I need someone to teach me how to run the chain saw. I need to trim up some trees. Can anyone help me? Well I guess I should go find something to eat. I think I will crash in my chair!

My Little Red Wagon

Yes, I did get a little red wagon last night. I got it at Wal-Mart. I was sure glad I started there. I drove clear up to the other entrance so I could go by the outdoor shop and as I went by, there was my red wagon just like I wanted. I thought it would be green but I like the red. They helped me load it in the car. I learned real quick I had to hold on to it. It had a little room to roll around so it was hitting the back window. So I had to hold onto it all the way home. The handle had to come right up between the seats so that helped but when I would pull a hill or start off it would make my right arm ache. It felt like I was lifting weights. I thought sure that my arm would be sore this morning but so far it's ok.

Well I better try to get a picture on here and get myself to work.
